Simple Outdoor Portrait
I was asked to take a quick portrait of a coworker while at a work function last fall. We had to quickly improvise a place to do it with a good enough background. We used a pool for the background. I shot down at my coworker in order to have the water fill the entire background of the shot. I don’t think you can really tell what the background is in the photograph. We both were really happy with the results of this simple portrait…so I thought I’d share it. Of course I think having ideal lighting hitting such a pretty lady so perfectly helped out quite a bit!

If this was a “quick portrait” it certainly turned out exceptionally well. The pool as background seemed to work nicely and the processing is terrific (as always!)
Excellent photography. Sometimes the improvised “quick” shots turn out to be some of the best.
Lovely result, Heather. Clever to use the water as a background. I like the overall effect.
Very pretty portrait. Her eyes came out great!
What at terrific photo.
