Tasty Tuesday: Spicy Beef Pepper Steak
A coworker of mine gave me a recipe (by Great America) for spicy beef pepper steak that was so good I thought I’d share it. I didn’t find it spicy at all. If you like things spicy you can add in some cayenne pepper or red crushed pepper during the cooking process. The original recipe is included below.

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 beef round steak (or other favored cut of beef) cut into thin strips
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups sliced red, green and yellow peppers
1 cup finely chopped celery
1 cup sliced green onion or white onion
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh)
DIRECTIONS
1. Combine soy sauce, garlic, paprika, ginger & 1/4 c oil.
2. Add beef strips & toss in marinade.
3. Let stand for 30 mins to 1 hour. (Prepare vegetables while waiting)
4. Strain marinade off the meat.
5. Heat oil in pan or wok.
6. Add beef & brown. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup water to meat & simmer 20 minutes or until tender.
7. Add vegetables (except tomatoes) to pan. Turn heat to high and cook them for about 10 minutes.
8. Mix cornstarch with water. Add to pan and cook everything until thickened.
9. Add tomatoes, salt & pepper and heat through.
Serve with brown or white rice. Simple and really good!

Wonderful colorful shot! Makes me hungry. Then I copied the recipe. Hope to make it shortly. DH would love it as he’s a meat and potatoes kind of man.
