A Victory Splash!!!

That’s right! The Hawkeyes won again. This time the score was 15-12. It was an emotion flooded game the whole way through! It was great for the boys to play at night on the local high school football field-under the lights. In the photo below the Hawkeyes defensive coach gets a taste of something called the “Victory Splash”. Looks like it was a bit COLD! 🙂

With 8 seconds remaining, the Hawkeyes walked away from the regular season games as Murrieta’s Jr. Pee Wee (Division 2) Champs! Next they play for the Conference Title!

Colton and the head coach shared a moment together after the game. You can’t see it…but Colt had an injury in the 4th quarter and was in extreme pain even as he stood here smiling. He also played as hard as his tough little body would let him the entire game. He scored 2 touchdowns and a long list of blocks & tackles. He was named the Offensive Player of the Game.

I am one proud mom!!! Football ROCKS like no other sport! Sometimes a lot of Pain & Practice PAYS OFF!

Dear Son,

I am so proud of you for always listening intently to what your coaches teach you. I am so blessed to watch you perform to your full capabilities every time you have the opportunity to do so. You have always given your “ALL” to whatever your do and it is wonderful for me to witness you putting your whole heart into this game and into life in general. You have a gift and it’s more than talent on a football field…it’s the gift of optimism. It shines in you and around you at all times. I am impressed by what a team player you are on and off the field. You are a bright and shining light. Keep the flame burning! And…size doesn’t matter huh little buddy?!!

Love you always,
